Paul H 講師的自我介紹

Hello, my name is Paul and I'm a native English speaker from Liverpool in the United Kingdom. I am a level 5 certified Teaching English as a Foreign Language tutor and I have a bachelors degree in Environmental Science. I am also a qualified personal trainer with over 15 years experience of helping people achieve their personal health and fitness goals. 

Though I am quite new to English language teaching I do have extensive experience of teaching fitness as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I am also a keen language learner and I am currently learning Turkish. I have previously learnt some Spanish and a little bit of Ukrainian as well, so I have a good perspective on what its like being a language learning student.

I want to help you achieve your language learning, and/or fitness goals (beginner, intermediate & advanced) through fun and engaging lessons. Learning anything is always more effective when it is enjoyable so my lessons will be tailored to fit your needs and interests. My teaching style is relaxed and welcoming and when i am teaching fitness my top priority is to make the session enjoyable. Once exercise becomes enjoyable, challenging yourself comes naturally and doesnt need to be forced. I will approach teaching the English language in the exact same manner.

In terms of language teaching materials we could use authentic materials such as realia, books, podcasts, videos or news articles, or we could utilise more published teaching materials if that works better for you. We can do activities such as tests, quizzes, games debates or role plays. I will be as flexible as you need me to be and together we'll find what works for you. My fitness sessions will be based around bodyweight exercises using no, or minimal equipment and needing just 1m² space (for 1 person). As with my language lessons my fitness lessons will be about finding what works for you! If I give you an exercise that you dislike then please say and we'll find a more enjoyable alternative. 

My hobbies include keeping fit, throwing myself out of aeroplanes (skydiving) and riding my motorbike. I'm looking forward to hearing about what intrests you and im especially looking forward to helping you on your language learning and/or fitness improving quest!
