안녕하세요! Nice to meet you♪ I’m Uneya, a Korean language tutor.
“Uneya” is a nickname my friends lovingly call me, based on my real name “Jo Eunhye (조은혜).”
Please feel free to call me “Uneya~” too!
I currently live in South Korea and run a learning academy for children✏️
Thanks to that, I have time in the mornings to teach Korean lessons!

?? My fateful encounter with Japan
From 2008 to 2014, I studied abroad in Japan
and graduated from Hosei University’s psychology department.
During my studies, I worked various part-time jobs,
but the one I continued the longest was my job as a Korean language tutor.
It all started in my freshman year when a Japanese professor introduced me to a Korean language club,
which marked the beginning of my teaching journey.
Then, in 2025, I visited Japan again for Lunar New Year after a long time✈️
I reunited with friends who had learned Korean from me in Japan and spent an incredibly joyous week.
That’s when a Japanese friend told me about Cafetalk!
They recommended it, saying, “I think this would be perfect for you, Uneya!”
And I truly felt once again that Japan and I are connected by fate.
I also “started from zero” when I first started learning!
Actually...when I studied abroad in Japan, I didn’t understand any Japanese at all!
While attending language school, I studied desperately from scratch.
Learning a language really takes courage.
Anyone can “start,”
but “continuing” is extremely difficult.
However, just like how I learned Japanese,
if all of you are able to enjoy learning Korean, you’ll surely become able to speak it too!✨
