Self Introduction

Hi, I’m Scott!
I’ve been teaching English for over 20 years in the USA, South Korea, Spain, and online.

I work mainly with adult learners and professionals who want to improve their conversational English, pronunciation, and confidence in real-life communication — especially for work situations like meetings, presentations, and everyday professional interaction.

My goal is to help students feel comfortable using English naturally, without fear of making mistakes. I believe learning works best when lessons are practical, relaxed, and connected to real situations.

Teaching Background

I have over two decades of experience teaching English across many settings, including:

  • 3+ years delivering 1:1 online Business English to adult professionals (international / remote)

  • 10+ years teaching English in tertiary and university-level programs in South Korea

  • 3 years of bilingual (English–Spanish) and ESOL teaching in primary and secondary schools in the USA

  • 2 years teaching in private language schools and institutes in the USA and Spain

 

I hold a CELTA certification and have worked with learners from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds, including banking, IT, pharmaceuticals, and education.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is:

Supportive • Practical • Conversation-focused

I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel safe to experiment with English and build confidence step by step.

Lessons are:

  • Interactive and discussion-based

  • Focused on real-world communication

  • Adapted to each student’s goals and level

  • Balanced between fluency, pronunciation, and clear expression

I believe mistakes are part of learning, and I encourage students to speak as much as possible while receiving clear, helpful feedback.
