Hello, my name is Florence and I am currently living in Japan. I've been a French teacher for two months now, but I've already had experience in teaching in my previous jobs. In my opinion, sharing knowledge is an incredible thing, especially when it's a foreign language. Language opens doors to a country's culture and its social codes. French is all the richer for this because there are so many French-speaking countries, each with its own approach to the language.
I welcome all levels of French learners, no matter your level or age, so feel free to contact me! The first lesson will be about yourself and your French level so I can create and tailor a course that apply to you and your needs.
My methodology is simple: to learn a language you need to practice it as much as possible. My lessons will not focus mainly on grammar (except for beginners, as a solid foundation is necessary). The points learnt will be practised through conversation but also the discovery of different media (for example videos in French outside mainland France), reading, role-play and pronunciation exercises. The aim is for you to be able to use what you are able to apply in straightforward exercises in real-life situations.
Also, I specialise in Scientific French as a previous lab technician in microbiology. If you need to learn French in a scientific context (to study in a French University, for your job or even by interest), I can teach you by using my personnal experience in different fields and laboratories.
You can ask for irregular times lesson, I will block every time slots where I cannot teach no matter what for the next 4 weeks. I'll update my schedule every day.
To tell you a bit more about myself, I've been fascinated by Japanese culture (and by association its language) for years. I enjoy reading, hiking and travelling. I also have a dog, a Papillon, who sometimes makes an appearance!
My qualifications :- FLE teaching diploma : DAEFLE from Alliance Française
- 2-year technical diploma in Biological Engineering in food-industry. I specialise in biology and microbiology.
Let’s enjoy learning French together! :)
