Hi! I'm Renna! こんにちは、レンナです!

I'm a Japanese-English bilingual currently studying linguistics at university. I grew up speaking both languages, so I totally get how tricky English can be for Japanese speakers!

Why take lessons with me?

- I can explain things in Japanese when you're stuck!
- I'm studying linguistics, so I know the best ways to learn languages (and I love sharing tips!)
- Relaxed and friendly, making mistakes is part of learning, so don't worry!  
-We can customize lessons to what YOU want : grammar, conversation, exam prep, whatever!

What we can work on together:

  • Just chatting in English (the best way to improve!)
  • Fixing pronunciation so you sound more natural
  • Grammar that actually makes sense
  • Getting ready for tests or interviews
  • Learning real English that native speakers actually use
  • Understanding American/Western culture and communication styles
My approach: I think learning should be fun and natural, not stressful! We'll have real conversations while I gently correct mistakes and explain why things work the way they do. And since I speak Japanese too, I can explain tricky concepts in a way that actually clicks for Japanese learners.
