Ciao!
Mi chiamo Erika, sono una tutor madrelingua italiana e vivo in Lombardia, nel Nord Italia. Nella vita di tutti i giorni sono un'insegnante di inglese, parlo 4 lingue e ho una certificazione specialistica in didattica dell'italiano (CEDILS).
Ho deciso di aprire questo profilo su Cafetalk perché amo le lingue e voglio aiutarti a imparare l'italiano in modo reale, pratico e soprattutto senza l'ansia dei vecchi metodi scolastici. Hi there! I’m Erika, a native Italian speaker living in Lombardy, in Northern Italy.

Many people study Italian for years, learning a lot of rules, but they still freeze when it’s time to speak. That’s because textbooks teach you grammar, but they don't teach you how a native mind actually works. My goal is to change that, making Italian logical, intuitive, and practical for your real life.

A Little About Me

I am a creative person who loves the quiet, cozy side of life. When I am not teaching, you will find me reading a good book, practicing photography, cooking traditional recipes, or cuddling my cats. I thrive in calm environments and love authentic cultural exchanges, which is why I absolutely love learning about different cultures, but I really dislike loud environments, people who shout, or rushing through things.

My Professional Background

In my daily life, I work as a professional English teacher, I speak 4 languages, and I hold a CEDILS certification (a specialized Master-level certification for teaching Italian to foreigners). Because I know exactly what it feels like to learn and master multiple languages, our sessions will be highly effective, dynamic, and completely tailored to how your brain naturally processes a new language.

My Teaching Method: 

·        Bilingual Guidance: Since I teach English for a living, we can easily use English to break down complex Italian concepts or vocabulary whenever you need a hand.

·        Visual Whiteboards: We will use digital tools to map sentences, link word clusters visually, and unlock the geometric logic of the language.

·        Real-World Skills: From ordering at an authentic Italian café to decoding modern social media slang and gestures, you will learn the exact language used on the streets today.

·        Flexible Practice: Homework is never a chore. If you want to practice between classes, I provide custom writing prompts and correction services; if you just want to relax and chat, that's perfectly fine too!
