Hello everyone! こんにちわみなーさん！My name is Nikka and I am a UK primary school teacher. I graduated Bachelor of Science in Psychology and have a good understanding of how individuals (particularly children) learn and develop.
Hello everyone! こんにちわみなーさん！My name is Nikka and I am a UK primary school teacher. I graduated Bachelor of Science in Psychology and have a good understanding of how individuals (particularly children) learn and develop.
I'm a fluent (American and British) English Speaker and Filipino Speaker (with 3 dialects). I can speak in a conversational Japanese, which I learned at home. I can also speak few words in Spanish.
My teaching style~
I am adaptable and flexible; my teaching style is multi-disciplinary, as I tailor my teachings depending on the needs of a student to progress. I am very patient, understanding and professionally friendly. I always use positive encouragement, as I believe that it is one of the best ways for students to progress in education and in life.

Qualifications~
- I have an International English Language Tests System (IELTS) overall band score of 7.0 (CEFR Level C1)
- Grade 5 Certificate in ESOL International (Speaking and Listening) CEFR Level B1.1 with distinction
My Experiences~
- I worked with primary and secondary students (6 to 16 year olds) as a GCSE Maths tutor as well as primary school teacher in training.
- I also worked as a Maths tutor for college students (16 to 18 year olds)
- I also worked as a mentor/teaching assistant in an organisation that helps young adults (15 to 22 year olds) with physical and learning difficulties
- I also have experiences working with children and young adults, who have special educational needs and development (SEND)
- I also worked with children with English as Additional Language (EAL) in school. Some of the children I worked with were not able to speak, write and/or count in English, and have greatly improved with my teaching after few months.
