Ciao! My name is Alberto and I live in Florence. I have extensive experience and knowledge as a professional Italian language tutor. I specialize in teaching mainly intermediate to advanced level Italian, as well as business Italian. I patiently teach each student according to their level and needs, while understanding their weaknesses and level of understanding.


【Self-Introduction】
 
After graduating from the University of Bologna and working for a company, I founded an Italian language school for foreigners about 30 years ago. I have been teaching Italian for 35 years now, and have taught students of all ages from all over the world.
 
I am also a member of the Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL), where I participate as an interviewer and prepare exam questions for AIL organized Italian language exams.
 
When I'm at home, I often read books and occasionally help my daughter (she is part Japanese and part Italian), who is a high school student, with her homework and help her prepare for her tests. I love nature, so when the weather is nice, I go trekking to the Tuscany sea and the mountains nearby.
 
I am also studying Japanese (I finally passed JLPT level 3 on my third attempt!). I speak English, German and French, and I also studied Latin and ancient Greek as a student, but Japanese sure is a tough one.


【About my lessons】
 
With my years of teaching experience, I can teach students of all levels, from beginner to advanced, but I especially focus on teaching intermediate level Italian, helping advanced level students brush up their Italian, as well as teaching business Italian that can be used in business situations.
 
I am very familiar with the habits that are unique to Japanese students who are learning Italian, such as expressions and grammar rules that often get mistaken, as well as points that could be tough to Japanese students. Therefor, I can help you learn Italian in a clear and precise way. My lessons will be taught in Italian.
