Hello! My name is Jane and I'm from the Philippines. I am TESOL and TEFL certified and graduated with an honors degree in Hospitality Management. I have been teaching English to students of all levels and age groups, both online and offline for over 8 years. I had the opportunity to teach at hybrid schools with Study Abroad programs that cater to online and face-to-face lessons. I was able to teach various lessons, from Basic Grammar, and Conversation, to more specialized lessons such as Business English, Accent Reduction, Callan Method, and Test Preparation for EIKEN.

I also worked as an ESL Teacher Trainer for 4 years in which I was tasked to coach and train ESL Teachers to practice strategies and methodologies in teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Being a bilingual non-native speaker myself, I understand the process of learning another language, and I believe it's different for each learner, too. So, I try to adjust my teaching style according to my student's age, level, learning needs, and preferences. That way, I can provide individualized, fun, and engaging lessons. ^^

I use a teaching methodology in the class called G.A.T.E. to provide quality lessons.

G – Great Notes 

A – Active correction 

T – Talking Time ( Teacher 30 % - Student 70%)

E  - Energy and enthusiasm  

Living in the tropics, I like going to the beach when I get the chance. Other times, I just stay home and watch movies, or spend time in the kitchen, cooking, and baking desserts. I also love karaoke and I actually used to sing at my university's chapel choir, so if you are looking forward to singing English songs in class, I'm definitely up for that! ^^  

If you prefer not to use the camera, audio lessons are welcome, too. Just let me know when you make a lesson request. :)
