Hello! I’m Jojo.
Thank you for visiting my profile. I am happy you are here!
I am a native English speaker from Canada.
From 2014 to 2016, I lived in Matsumoto, Japan, where I taught English to students of all ages, from Mommy and Me classes to adults. I loved every minute of it!
I currently live in Germany and I am pleased to offer English lessons online via Cafetalk.
About me:
I grew up near the ocean in a rural part of Canada. As a child, I loved to swim and walk along the beach, discovering sea glass, unique shells and artifacts.

I love animals - especially dogs! When I was a child, I had a small pet dachshund named Oscar.
I enjoy cooking with lots of colourful fruits and vegetables. Do you like to cook? I am always looking for new recipes. Please tell me your favorites!
I also love to travel and experience new cultures. Where are some places you would like to go?
I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors. I often spend my free time going for walks, hikes and bike rides. I can’t wait to hear about your hobbies!
Teaching style:
Learning a new language can be daunting, especially when it comes to speaking. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way! I want you to feel comfortable using English. That’s why I will try my best to provide you with a relaxed and judgment-free learning atmosphere.
I love English and I enjoy having conversations with people. I also enjoy hearing what you have to say. I hope you will feel free to speak in my lessons.
I will encourage and support you, no matter what your level is!

Free Trial Lesson
The Free Trial Lesson is a chance for us to meet. I will introduce myself to you and hopefully we can have a quick chat. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them in the Free Trial Lesson.
Quick Chat/Easy-going Conversation
These lessons can be either free talk or discussions about specific topics of your choice. I hope this time will encourage you to speak English freely and naturally.
Customizable English Lesson
If you have a specific English skill you'd like to work on, please consider taking a Customizable English Lesson with me. I have experience supporting students in a variety of settings including Giving Presentations, Using Idioms, Reading, Listening, Small Talk, and Test Preparation. I'd be very glad to customize a lesson for you.
Perhaps you'd like a special lesson on a completely different topic. I am open to all of your ideas.
