Hello everyone. I am Aoi Murasaki, a mezzo-soprano singer!

★Self introduction★
I started practicing vocal music when I was in the third grade of junior high school, and after graduating from a music college in Tokyo, I completed a graduate course at a music conservatory and am currently studying abroad in Paris(^^)
Although I originally started out in vocal music with an interest in the world of musicals, I am now focusing on opera and continuing my studies and performing♪
I play mostly classical music, Disney, and musicals, but I listen to a surprisingly large amount of J-pop. (lol) I am interested in experiencing many different genres of music, so if you have any recommendations for artists or songs, please let me know!

 

★About my teaching experience★

I was an instructor at a music school in Tokyo for 3 years♪

I have been teaching lessons at home for students in my neighborhood for a total of about 5 years.

Although face-to-face lessons used to be my main teaching method, I have been actively offering online lessons since the pandemic, so please do not worry about taking my lessons online through Cafetalk!


★About my lesson content★

People of all levels, genders, and ages are welcome!

I focus mainly on classical vocals, but I can also accommodate students’ requests for genres such as musicals, pops, enka, and more♪

(However, I might not be able to offer lessons based on genres that are too different from what I have experience in, such as rock and R&B^^;)


I kindly ask that you turn your video camera on as much as possible so that I can see your mouth shape and facial expressions when teaching, but if you’d like to take lessons with your video camera turned off, please don’t hesitate to ask me!

■Vocal Lessons

Basic vocal practice → Practical singing practice using your favorite song.

■Voice Lesson

Voice warm-up → Vocalizing practice according to your concerns → Practical speaking practice using poems and other texts.


Of course, the examples above are just one of many!

I will flexibly adapt my lesson contents according to the level and needs of each individual student, so please don’t worry☆

“I want to start a new hobby,” “I want to get a higher score at karaoke,” “I want to be able to read sheet music,” “I have an audition coming up and would like some advice,” “I want to improve my speaking skills,” and so on. Whatever your goal is, please don’t hesitate to tell me about it♪

And here is the important part!!
I myself am the type of person who thrives with praise, so my motto when teaching is to praise what you did good!i


I will then tell you what I think “you could do better” as clearly as possible. Please feel free to ask me as many times as you like about anything you don’t understand until you are satisfied(^^)

I will do my best to make my lessons enjoyable so that you can relieve your daily stress with me, so please come and join me for a lesson♪
