Guten Tag! Hello!

I am here to help you learn German in an enjoyable and efficient way, even though German is often said to be a difficult language to learn.
You can think of me as more of a sports trainer than a "teacher".

While utilizing the know-how I have gained over the past 20 years teaching German, I'll tailor my lessons to each of my student's needs and personalities.

Even if you are a complete beginner in German, I will help you learn German until you can say phrases that you will need for traveling alone, based on my experience of working with many students throughout the years.

During our lessons, I will not only explain German grammar, but I will also teach you how to speak German with the help of example sentences.

*If you wish, I can provide you with practice exercises tailored to your weaknesses to enhance your learning experience through both self-study and my lessons.



I studied art history at a German university, since I had an interest in Gothic church architecture and sculpture.
I was not very good at English, but for some reason I found German to be a good match with me. haha^^ I have been teaching German for over 20 years now.

I have lived in Germany for seven years, and studied art history at the Free University of Berlin.
I have worked in Germany as an industrial translator as well as an interpreter for a Japanese company related to a plant construction project in Germany.
I have experience living in both West and East Germany during the period of division between East and West Germany.
I enjoy traveling, photography (with old lenses), driving, cooking, and yoga.

I currently reside in the Kansai region of Japan, so if you wish, I can introduce you to some of the most photogenic spots in Kyoto.
I was born in Tokyo, but I have a slight accent (Kansai dialect) as I have lived in the Kansai region for a long time.
