Hello everyone!

My name is Suja. I am an experienced, professional English teacher who is TESOL-certified, IELTS teacher-trained and also a CELPIP-certified instructor.

I've been teaching English online for over nine years now and have lived and worked in Singapore, the UK and Australia. I have coached numerous test candidates through their test preparations in IELTS, CELPIP, schools tests as well as prepared them for entry-interviews or work interviews. 

I also offer a comprehensive curriculum in English which places focus on improving speaking, reading, writing and listening skills for the workplace. My aim is to teach you not just to read ....but also think about what you read and to then apply your skills in speaking in order to express your views on what youve just read. In my classes you will learn how to articulate your views and use vocabulary well.

How will my lessons help you?


The lessons I have designed on Cafetalk are aimed at increasing your confidence, fluency and command of the English language. Through our sessions, we will  work on pronunciation to ensure you deliver your ideas with clarity and convey them in a coherent and an engaging way.


I'm also more than happy to customise classes for those of you who have specific learning objectives. For example you might be looking for lessons to improve communication, attend an interview, chair a meeting or give a presentation. Some of you might wish to practice 2-way conversations for when you travel or speak with other native speakers. I have delivered group sessions to professionals at no more than 3 persons per group and so we can work this mode out as well. 




How do I sound?

I speak with a clear accent and will adjust my pace of speech, if you are a beginner so that you understand me. This pace(speed) will gradually increase to a natural pace , as you improve.  

My focus will be on what is important for you , which is to ensure that you achieve your goals effectively and keep up with language practice. 




What do I do outside of work?

I love long nature-trails, theatreworks and art festivals. I also travel whenever I can and have covered severeal countries around the world. Apart from this, I am a member of the urban sketching group and love to sketch plein air (outdoors).  Chat with me to find out more if these are your favourite hobbies too!
