Ready To Learn Something New?

Lisa D.

Hello Cafetalk Students!

Here is a new idiom for you:

Every cloud has a silver lining.

The origin of this phrase was used by the poet, John Milton in 1634 as an expression of hope.

It means there is something good in every bad situation.

An Example:  Even though learning a foreign language is difficult, every cloud has a silver lining. Learning a foreign language is rewarding.  It can be used for travel, a new job, and having a fun conversation with someone new.
