how are you? As some of you already know, I've only been in Canada for 3 years since living in Santa Monica for a long time. What a difference in temperature! It was warm all year round in Santa Monica, California. Now, it can get to minus -45 Celcius with the wind chill factor. That's just crazy cold outside! You have to get all bundled up to go outside and walk real slow so you don't fall down in the snow. Everything is completely white outside! I'm just not used to it. However, from the inside looking out, it's quite beautiful!

[What I found on eBay!]

Guess what? I was looking at things on eBay and I found someone selling one of my many headshots from the past.

When I was an actress in Hollywood, we had to keep getting new headshots because we had to keep our photographs updated all the time. At least, every couple of years, we had to hire another photographer and ask them to take the best headshot possible. In the acting business, your headshot is like your business card so you either get in the door for an audition or you get passed up. 

Anyway, I thought I would share a bit of my past for you. In addition, here's a little trivia. Until about the mid-1990s, all headshots were always standard black and white. However, as time went on, the headshots turned to color. So, we had to go to even more photographers to get color headshots. It was taboo to submit color headshots before because the industry considered black and white headshots as the professional standard. Especially in this digital world, your headshots have to be exceptional to capture the casting director's attention to bring you in for an audition.
