That reminded me!

Tanya Forbes

I recently received a picture of my friends Christmas tree all decorated, as is the custom we normally put an angel on the top of the tree.  Well, this one is a decoration that I sent to my friend from Japan some 30 years ago.    This reminded me of the past and happy memories shared with my friend!

We can use reminded me to talk about memories, to remember something or to recall something.

For example:-

·        That reminds me of the time we went away on holiday together.

·        That food reminds me of when I was in Thailand.

·        That music always reminds me of the film Inception.

·        That reminds me, I must get some salt next time I go shopping.

·        Please remind me to make the bank transfer for the money I owe you.

·        The dentist has just phoned to remind me that my appointment is on Saturday.

·        Please remind me to call the doctor back.

So, over the next couple of days, I’m reminded to send messages to everyone, and to have a quite moment to be reminded of the past!
