My Job As A Model/Talent - In Kyoto

Danielle___

My first time modeling was when I was around eight years old. My cousin was studying fashion at the time, and I modeled one of her dresses in her high school fashion show.

I wish I had the photos of that day to look back on, because it was a really fun experience!

Even though it was such a great time, I didn't pursue modeling when I was younger since I was very shy and a full-time student. In fact, I started again rather late–when I was twenty years old!

When I was a student in Tokyo, I was asked to model for makeup students at a beauty school, and I started to remember the fun time I had in my cousin's fashion show. So I thought "why not give it a go again."

I was having a lot of fun working with all sorts of different people. My jobs ranged from bridal modeling at an event hall, working on a prank TV show, and doing commercials. It was a pretty wide variety of stuff!

I would say my biggest job ever while I was in Japan was landing a lead role for a well-known camcorder company's PV.

This was my face when I got the job: ----> ( ꒪Д꒪)

I was really nervous! We were going to film in Kyoto, so I took the bullet train and stayed in a hotel overnight.

Here's one shot from the PV!
It's interesting because they were filming us using another camera!

Also, it was so bright and I think we were looking at the sun during this shot, haha.

Everyone on the team was so nice, and we all worked together well!
We were able to see so many famous and historical spots in Kyoto, including Fushimi Inari Shrine which was amazing!

We filmed in autumn, so we dressed for the weather. I usually don't wear yellow!

Besides Fushimi Inari Shrine, we had the opportunity to film at beautiful tea houses and other areas.

I wish I lived here!

There were a couple of outfit changes throughout the day, and at one point I was able to dress in kimono.
Kimono dressing is such a beautiful and complex artform. I can only imagine how long it takes to master it.

I was a little bit nervous about spilling the tea.

When I came back to Tokyo, I was exhausted but very grateful! This was a wonderful experience and I was so happy to show my family and friends back home.

If you live in or around Kyoto, you might see some familiar areas!
