Well, there are only 3 months left in 2021. Fortunately, they’re some of the best months (I always look forward to Halloween and Christmas!), and there’s certainly time to try a few things before the year ends.
In my applied linguistics program, we’ve been talking about lots of online learning tools, so I’d like to try some of them out and find a few good ones that I can recommend. There are so many options out there that it can be overwhelming, but the only way to find the best ones is to keep trying them! I’d like to have more options for self-directed learning to suggest to my students because this seems to be the future of education.
And for Halloween this year, I’d like to try carving a Jack-o’-lantern again. Although I used to help my students during our carving event here in Toronto, it’s been a long time since I carved one myself! This year is the year to get back into it! What kind of design should I try?
Finally, for Christmas this year, I want to try building a LEGO Christmas scene. Some people have huge and fantastic Christmas villages with lights that they build with their families every year, but I’d be happy with just a small festive display (as long as Santa is there!).
That’s all for now, but let’s see what other inspirations and opportunities come along in the next 3 months!
