Benefits of Reading the NEWS

Suja

It is a good habit to read the English newspaper if you haven’t started doing so already.

1.  Reading the paper helps you improve your vocabulary

As you read, there will be many words and phrases you might find hard to understand.Keeping a personal notebook with words and phrases you have read that are worth remembering.

2.       Improves both knowledge and content for writing and speaking

The newspaper comprises several categories. You can read information on world, regional and home news, sport, opinions, business, finance. Reading a variety of news helps you to deliver unique ideas, points of view and content during an oral or written examination

3.       The opinions you develop are informed

This simply means that the way you think about something is based on information. To form your own opinion, you will need to constantly stay up to date with what is happening around you.
