Hello everyone! How’s it going? It’s Teacher Asuka.

Today, I’m going to talk about “Are you a winter or a summer person?” As for myself, I might be a winter person. One reason is that I was born in winter. Another reason is that I love the festive season especially from Christmas to New Year as well as winter sports like skiing.

By the way, when it comes to the seasons, that reminds me of a famous Japanese folk song named “A Song of Four Seasons”.

四季の歌(A song of four seasons in Japanese below)

I will translate the lyrics of that song here and show you as follows.

Those who love spring is a person whose heart is pure, my friend who seems like a violet flower.

Those who love summer is a person whose heart is strong, my father who seems like a wave which broke the rocks.

Those who love autumn is a person whose heart is deep,my lover who seems like "Heine" who talks love.

Those who love winter is a person whose heart is wide,my mother who seems like ground which melt the snow.

In the third paragraph of the lyrics, you can find the word “Heine”. Do you know who he is?

It is said that he was a German poet who wrote some beautiful and gentle poems.

From the above, do you think which types in the four seasons?

Thank you for staying with me as usual.
See you next time!
