What's your favourite song? I think I'd find it hard to pick a favourite, even though I'm not really 'into' music. I couldn't tell you who is in the charts right now. If I told you the most current music artist I'm aware of, it would probably be someone who has been popular for years - and would be met with eye rolls from my younger brother!
When I think about music that I like, mostly I think about the music that meant a lot to me when I was a teenager. This is an important time in all of our lives, a time when we form memories, discover who we are and what we like, and a time when we feel things passionately - so the music that relates to that time period is perhaps the most fondly remembered music of all.
People also choose their favourite music to listen to during special occasions. The wedding playlist is an important part of the day, and people like to pick a special song to 'walk down the aisle to', as well as some good tunes for the party afterwards. Many women choose some special music to listen to when they're giving birth.
As for me, there are songs that I like to listen to, but I'll also happily listen to pretty much anything. Perhaps I don't really appreciate music all that much, or perhaps I can find something to appreciate in pretty much any genre. How about you? Do you have a favourite song?
