What’s your opinion? “Choose a side: Tom the cat? or Jerry the mouse?”

周间主题: Choose a side: Tom the cat? or Jerry the mouse?

In the case of Tom

Tom appears to play the villain in the cartoon, but upon closer inspection, it actually appears that he is merely triggered by Jerry's tit-for-tat and is trying to over-retaliate against him for it. Tom's physical strength far exceeds Jerry's, but in terms of intelligence? It would be needless to say. In other words, I suspect that many viewers see Tom as a cute cat being toyed with by a mouse, without actually really hating him.

In the case of Jerry

Jerry is a frail mouse, and in general terms, fated to be attacked by cats.

However, Jerry shows himself to be more intelligent than Tom, and swats him around like a fly on a wall. This spectacle serves as a self-projective function for the viewer, helping to provide a certain sense of pleasure and catharsis. It should also be added that, although Tom and Jerry are enemies, they are actually friendly and playful with each other in this cartoon. This implies that they are actually bonded at a deeper level.

These are my opinions, what do you think?

The reason why I recommend you to write a column on this week’s theme

Choose a side: Tom the cat? or Jerry the mouse?” is that I have an amazing lesson for you.
You are the writer!
