Hello! I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to students and fellow tutors alike.

My name is Sinead (said Shin-aid) and I’ve newly joined the Cafetalk platform as an English tutor. After a long career as an English and Art teacher at universities and schools I’ve decided to join the online teaching platform. I come from Brighton in England, but currently I’m living in a very green part of Africa!

When I’m not teaching I paint. My medium for painting is watercolour. I’ve illustrated (and written) seven books so far, for both children and adults. You will see my watercolour illustrations in my columns, I will try my best to always include one.

Being a creative person I also knit, crochet, embroider and sew! I even have a class here on Cafetalk called ‘Knitter Natter’, where we can talk about all things craft related such as what we’re making or why we love to make and create.
