To break or be broke happens at a specific point for a business's profit and loss. 

Cost = the price we pay for something. 

"pick up" is a phrasal verb with multiple uses. 

We all need to make money. 



Here are 4 more tips;

Strike or stuck is a sudden often violent action. 

To reduce our friends on Facebook we might say we cut out the people that we don't really know anymore. 
Cut out, cut down on both me to reduce something.
