「嗎」和 「呢」是華語中最常用、也最主要的兩個表達疑問的助詞，在華語中的使用有明顯的區別，它們主要用於不同類型的句子，具有不同的語氣功能。

這兩者之間最大的特徵與差別是：「嗎」的疑問句主要詢問的是「是」或「不是」；「呢」的疑問句主要是用來更深入的詢問，確認「選擇」、「理由」、「原因」以及「具體答案」等。

以下會分別舉例說明，希望大家能更了解這兩種疑問助詞的使用方法。

（一）「嗎」 (ma)：

「嗎」通常用於構成「一般疑問句」，也就是可以用「是」或「不是」回答的問題。

用法：

「嗎」的用法是直接加在華語一般陳述句最後形成疑問形式，如：

例（一）你喜歡吃蘋果：可以改寫為「你喜歡吃蘋果嗎？」表示對於喜不喜歡吃蘋果這一件事情進行確認，回答的開頭一定是「是」或「不是」。

例（二）他是學生：可以改寫為「他是學生嗎？」表示對於那個人是不是學生這一件事情進行確認，回答的開頭也一定是「是」或「不是」。

（二）「呢」 (ne)

「呢」的用法比 "嗎" 更為多樣化，主要用於反問、進行確認、詢問原因、理由或是具體的答案。通常「疑問詞」會跟「呢」一起出現，如「哪些」、「怎麼」、「為什麼」等等。

另外「呢」也能作為語氣助詞表達其他非疑問的用法，這邊暫不解釋。

用法：

1. 反問、確認：用於句尾，表示對某事的反問或反復確認，語氣較輕鬆。

例（一）他怎麼還沒來呢？

例（二）A：你喜歡吃日本料理「嗎」？

            B：喜歡

            A：那你喜歡吃「哪些」日本料理「呢」？

            B：生魚片或是壽司這類。

例（三）A：聽說你結婚了，是真的嗎？

            B：對啊，我上個月結婚了？

            A：「怎麼」沒跟我說「呢」？

            B：不好意思啦。我們只有登記結婚而已，沒有跟任何人說。

例（四）A：「為什麼」你不喜歡她「呢」？她對你這麼好？

            B：難道她對我好我就要喜歡他嗎？

(A) "嗎" (ma):

"嗎" is usually used to form "general questions," which can be answered with "yes" or "no."

Usage:

The usage of "嗎" is to directly add it at the end of a general statement in Chinese to form a question, such as:

Example (1):

- 你喜歡吃蘋果(You like to eat apples): Can be rewritten as "你喜歡吃蘋果嗎？" to confirm whether you like to eat apples, with the answer starting with "yes" or "no."

Example (2):

- 他是學生(He is a student): Can be rewritten as "他是學生嗎？" to confirm whether that person is a student, with the answer starting with "yes" or "no."

(B) "呢" (ne):

"呢" is more diverse than "嗎," mainly used for rhetorical questions, confirmations, asking for reasons, causes, or specific answers. Usually, "question words" like "which," "how," "why," etc., will appear together with "呢."

In addition, "呢" can also be used as a mood particle to express other non-question usages, which will not be explained here.

Usage:

1. Rhetorical questions, confirmation**: Used at the end of sentences to express rhetorical questions or repeated confirmations in a lighter tone.

Example (1):

- 他怎麼還沒來呢？(Why hasn't he come yet?

Example (2):

A：你喜歡吃日本料理「嗎」？(Do you like eating Japanese cuisine?)

B：喜歡(Yes)

A：那你喜歡吃「哪些」日本料理「呢」？(Then which Japanese dishes do you like?)

B：生魚片或是壽司這類。(Sashimi or sushi.)

Example (3):

A：聽說你結婚了，是真的嗎？(I heard you got married. Is that true?)
