Hello. I am a Japanese language tutor, Muu.
In Japan, Kyushu region, Shikoku region, and Honshu:the main island of Japan are in the middle of rainy season. It is literally raining outside the window of my room now.

By the way, today is one of the International Days, "Seafarers' Day". It is a day to recognise and appreciate the contribution of seafarers around the world to international maritime trade, global economy and civil societies. Without seafarers, there would not be enough food, daily necessities, even electricity and gas in Japan.
Anyway, I love the sea and riding ships. One of my most exciting sea trip was going to the Ogasawara island, also known as Bonin islands. Although they belong to Tokyo by administrative division, they are actually 1,000 kilometers south of Honshu. From Takeshiba, Tokyo, it takes 24 hours one way by ship. They have very beautiful sea and unique animals and plants. Playing with wild dolphins in the deep blue sea off the coast of the islands was unforgettable experience.

日本では九州、四国、本州が全て梅雨入りしました。本格的な雨季の最中です。
実際に、私の部屋の窓の外では、雨が降っています。
今日は国際デーの一つ「船員デー」です。世界中の船員の皆様が、国際的な海上貿易、世界経済、市民社会に貢献していることを認識し、感謝する日です。皆様がいなければ、日本では、食べ物や日用品、電気やガスも充分に無いでしょう。
私は海と船が大好きです。今までで一番ドキドキした船旅は、小笠原諸島に行ったことです。小笠原諸島は東京都に属していますが、本州から南に1000キロの位置にあり、東京の竹芝から船で片道24時間かかります。海がとてもきれいで、たくさんの固有の動植物が存在します。小笠原の沖合の深い青色の海で、野生のイルカ達と遊んだことは、忘れられない思い出です。このような体験ができるのも、船員さんたちのおかげです。
