8月9日はムーミンの日、みなさん知っていましたか？
この日は作者であるトーベ ヤンソンが生まれた日です。
トーベは芸術一家に生まれ、自身も画家だったので、ムーミン小説の挿絵も描いています。細かい線が何重にも重ねられ、ちょっと不気味な印象を受ける絵も多いです。
さて、今週のテーマは暑さを涼しく過ごす方法です。
ムーミンのお話には架空の不思議な生き物がたくさんいて、おばけが登場する回があります。幽霊（おばけ）は夏の季語です。
怖いものを見ると、ゾッとして背筋が凍りつくような感じがして、暑さも一瞬で消え去ります。
このおばけは、チェーンを持って人を怖がらせようとするのですが、基本的におとなしい性格で、編み物が趣味です。
結局、ムーミンパパと友達になって一緒に暮らすようになります。
こんなおばけなら、私も同居してもいいかなと思います。
涼しくはならないと思いますが。。。
ちなみに日本のおばけは、よく額に三角のマークをつけています。

Well, this week's theme is how to stay cool in the heat.
Many mysterious creatures include ghosts appear in the Moomin stories. In Japan, "Ghost" is a seasonal word for summer. When you see something very scary, you feel chills run down your spine, and the heat disappears in a moment.
A ghost who appears in Moomin stories tries to scare people with chains. However, his personality is generally calm and his hobby is knitting. After all, he became friends with Moominpappa, and they lived together. I would also like to live with this lovely ghost. It doesn't make my place cooler though. . .
By the way, Japanese ghosts often have a triangle mark on their foreheads.
