Hi all! How are you today? It's Zia with a very quick tip.
So what does "circle back" mean?
It means to return to a topic or idea later. For example, if you're talking about something important but someone brings up a different idea, you might say, "Let’s circle back to this after we finish the first topic." It’s like saying, “Let’s come back to it later.” This means they’ll talk about the budget later, once they finish.
It is used in formal speech in a work meeting or with someone you don't really know.
Try using it like this in a meeting next time:
Your team is discussing a project deadline. Someone asks a question about the budget. You might say, “That’s an important question, but let’s circle back to it after we finalize the timeline.”
Wow! Spoken like a true native English speaker.
