Day 3 - April 4
We started the day on Omishima island driving around and checking out the observatory .
We then headed to Imabari , Ehime and met up with an online friend of mine who’s a Canadian foreign wife of Japanese who has been living in Imabari now for 25 years - we walked around a local park and enjoyed the cherry blossoms while chatting .
We then headed over to Matsuyama city to meet with another online friend an American Foreign wife of Japanese who’s been living in Matsuyama since 1981 she was the 25th foreigner ever registered to live in Matsuyama city.
We enjoyed a local onsen and supper at a delicious independent Italian restaurant — people out here have much more space ,bigger yards and larger houses than back in Kanagawa !
We spent the evening at roadside station car camping Futami Seaside park.
Day 4- April 5
We started the day by driving out to Shimonada station by the ocean very reminiscent of a Ghibli movie scene.
Then we headed out to Sadamisaki and went for a hike out to the lighthouse and most western point of Shikoku , also there are old military ruins.
We also saw many small towns and a windmill park on our drive .
We ate local Shirasu rice bowl
Then we headed down towards Uwajima city to stay overnight.
