Because of this obsession, I also have an entire spreadsheet that maps out what I plan to do each month while I'm in Japan. And it's colour-coded by season! Right now I'm behind on my plans because it's been too hot to go out as much as I wanted, but I've just finished a short trip to Kanazawa, and for the rest of the summer I'll be travelling in Tohoku, so I hope it's a little bit cooler than when I was in Kansai!
Other than two days in Sendai on a previous trip, I haven't spent much time in Tohoku, so I'm looking forward to exploring more areas. If you have recommendations, please let me know!!
Right now, my summer to-do list includes:
- Visit Zao (Yamagata)
- Attend the Tanabata festival (Miyagi)
- Ride the Tadami Line train (Fukushima)
- Visit Dewa Sanzan (Yamagata)
- Improve my Japanese (this one never leaves the list!)
