Santa, Will I Achieve My Goals? With Micro-Goals, You Can Do It!

In January, many of us made New Year's resolutions.  We may have had big plans to learn a language or get in shape. Did we keep these resolutions? Maybe not.  We may have been too busy or we may have lost our motivation. Even though the year is ending, there is still something we can do. We can use micro-goals!
 
What are micro-goals?  They are small, but achievable, actions we can take every day.  If we planned to get fit, we can walk during our lunch hour every day.  If we planned to learn a language, we can read and listen in that language for five minutes a day.  Even if we have just two months left, these actions can have a BIG impact which is almost magical.
 
What is the magic of micro-goals? The magic lies in the fact that our small actions add up over time and provide BIG results.  We may find ourselves feeling fitter and more energetic if we walk during our lunch hour.  We may notice that we are more fluent in a language if we read or listen in that language for just five minutes a day.
 
Santa, will I achieve my goals?  Yes!  By using micro-goals in November and December, we may find we have made surprising progress by Christmas.
