Why You Understand English… But Still Can’t Speak (And How to Fix It)

Ms. Faith

If you’ve ever thought, “I understand English, but I can’t speak it,” you’re not alone.

Many students spend years studying grammar, memorizing vocabulary, and passing exams, yet when it’s time to speak, the words don’t come out. You pause, translate in your head, feel unsure, and sometimes give up before you even try.

The problem is not your intelligence.
The problem is how you’ve been learning.

Most traditional methods focus on understanding English, not using English. You learn rules, but you don’t practice real conversation. So your brain becomes good at recognizing English, but not producing it.

In my lessons, we change that.

Instead of memorizing more grammar, we focus on:

  • Speaking from the first minute

  • Using simple, practical vocabulary

  • Building sentences step by step

  • Practicing real conversations you can use in daily life

You don’t need perfect English to start speaking. You need the right guidance, a relaxed environment, and consistent practice.

Mistakes are not something to fear,

they are part of the process. Every time you try, you improve.

My goal is simple:
To help you move from “I understand English” to “I can speak English confidently.”

And once that happens, everything changes.

You can express your ideas.
You can connect with people.
You can finally use the English you’ve worked so hard to learn.

If you’re ready to stop just studying English and start speaking it, I’m here to help you take that step.
