Hello everyone!
I’m Dani L., and I had previously taught on Cafetalk for 6 years before I went on hiatus.
I’ve been away from teaching for a few years now, and boy, what a ride! Life has a way of surprising us, no matter how hard we try to stay in control of it.
Whatever life brings, one thing that is consistent for me is that I’m deeply passionate about learning and teaching, which is why I’m back.
I believe one way to stay young is to never stop learning. Life is full of so many joys, wonders, and fascinating topics to learn about.

Vocabulary/idioms
Boy! — interjection
Used as an exclamation to show surprise, excitement, frustration, or strong feeling.
Example:
“Boy! That was a difficult test!”
Here, “boy” does not mean a young male person. It is simply an exclamation that adds emotion to what the speaker is saying.
What a ride! — exclamation
Used to show that something was very exciting, surprising, difficult, or full of ups and downs.
Example:
“Moving to a new country was quite an experience. What a ride!”
Here, “ride” does not necessarily mean a trip in a vehicle. It can describe an experience or journey with many unexpected events or emotions.
Whatever life brings — phrase
Used to say that you are ready to accept and deal with whatever happens in the future.
Example:
“I’m not sure what will happen next, but I’m ready for whatever life brings.”
Consistent — adjective
Used to describe something that stays the same or happens regularly over time.
Example:
“She is very consistent with her English practice.”
It can also mean reliable or dependable.
Example:
“He is a consistent worker.”
Keen— adjective
Used to say that someone is very interested in or excited about something.
Example:
“She is keen to improve her English.”
Keen on = very interested in something.
Example:
“He’s keen on learning new languages.”
Note: Keen is especially common in British English. In North American English, “eager” or “enthusiastic” is often used instead.
