What if success isn’t about achieving more? When I realize what success really means to me.

Emiko S

I used to believe that achieving many goals meant success. Completeing many tasks on the to-do list gave me a sense of achievement.
As I’ve gotten older, the perspective has shifted. I have become more grateful for peaceful moments in the daily life. Recently when I was walking with my second daughter holding her hand in the warm evening sun, I hoped I would keep the moment forever.  She was talking to me non stop,  laughing and joking. Suddenly,  it dawned on me that it was nothing productive but really meaningful. This cherishable moment made me realize that success doesn’t always mean accomplishing more. For me, preserving ordinary and beatiful memories to be intact throughout my life.
