This year, I celebrated Halloween in a small German town in the Harz Mountains.
Halloween feels especially magical here because witches and spooky legends are part of the local culture.
According to an old legend, witches gather at the famous "Hexentanzplatz" (Witches' Dance Floor) every year on Walpurgis Night, April 30th.

At night, the town was beautifully lit up.
The colorful lights, old buildings and Halloween decorations created a mysterious, almost magical atmosphere.

One of the highlights was the Halloween parade!
There were some really scary "Krampus" creatures with huge horns, frightening masks and wild costumes.
They looked absolutely terrifying!

It was definitely a Halloween to remember!
If you'd like, we can also talk about Halloween or any other topic you enjoy in my German conversation lessons.
Bis bald!
