皆さん、飲茶って食べたことがありますか？中華系の多いペナンでは、飲茶はとても人気のある朝ご飯、またはブランチで、レストランもたくさんあるところから選べます。飲茶というんですから、やはり中国茶を飲みながら、ディムサム（小さな皿に盛られた食べ物）を食べます。

Hello everyone! Have you ever had Yum Cha before? We have a big population of Chinese Malay here in Penang, so Yum Cha is a very popular beakfast or brunch option, and there are many many restaurants to choose from.  Of course you drink Chinese tea with dim sums, a range of small dishes. 

ディムサムはこのような竹でできた蒸し器に入っています。このようにカウンターに行って自分の好きなディムサムを選びます。もちろん、餃子のような物から、シューマイ、それから肉まんのような物、またはデザート系のエッグタルトなどもあります。もっと伝統的な所へ行くと、カートを引いてテーブルまでやってきてくれます。

Dim sums are served in the banboo steamers. You will need to go to the counter to choose what you want to eat at this restaurant. There are a variety of dim sums from pork dumplings to siu mai, cha siu bao to egg tarts as dessert! If you go to a more traditional restaurant, they will bring the cart full of dim sums to your table to choose from. 

あまり美味しい西洋系の朝ご飯のできるところがないので、ついついローカル食に走る私たちです。ちょっと悲しいです～！

We tend to go to enjoy local food for breakfast as there are hardly any restaurants that serve good western breakfast :( It is a bit sad....
