Learning Objective
Students will learn to describe their daily routine using the present simple tense.
Warm-up (5 minutes)
Simple introductions:
- What's your name?
- Where are you from?
- What do you do?
Introduce the question:
"What do you do every day?"
Vocabulary (5 minutes)
Teach key phrases:
- Wake up
- Get dressed
- Have breakfast
- Go to work/school
- Have lunch
- Finish work
- Have dinner
- Go to bed
Practice pronunciation.
Speaking Practice (10 minutes)
Use prompts:
- What time do you wake up?
- What do you eat for breakfast?
- Do you work or study?
- What time do you go to bed?
Support students in building full sentences:
"I wake up at 7 o'clock."
"I have coffee and toast for breakfast."
Personalisation Activity (5 minutes)
Student creates their own daily routine timeline.
Example:
- 7:00 – Wake up
- 8:00 – Breakfast
- 9:00 – Work
Student describes their day.
Wrap-Up (3–5 minutes)
Review vocabulary and one thing learned.
Homework: Write 5–10 sentences about your daily routine.
