As an introduction to beginner-level Japanese, let’s talk about the two types of adjectives.
They are i-adjectives and na-adjectives (also known as quasi-adjectives).
When forming the negative form, special attention is required:
For i-adjectives, remove the final "い" from the dictionary form and add "くありません" or "くないです".
For na-adjectives, remove the final "だ" from the dictionary form and add "じゃありません".
When adjectives modify nouns:
For i-adjectives, you can connect them to nouns in their base form (dictionary form).
For na-adjectives, remove the "だ" from the base form and replace it with "な" before connecting them to nouns.
To get used to using i-adjectives and na-adjectives, try creating example sentences yourself!
日本語の初級として、形容詞の二つの種類について説明します。
形容詞（i-adjective） 形容動詞（Na-adjective、 Quasi adjective)になります。
否定形（negative form）の際は注意が必要です。
i-adjectiveの場合、辞書系末尾の「い」を削除して、「くありません」「くないです」を追加します。
na-adjectiveの場合、辞書系末尾の「だ」を削除して、「じゃありません」を追加します。
形容詞が名詞を修飾する場合、原型（終止形）のまま、名詞に接続すれば良いですが、
形容動詞が名詞を修飾する場合、「だ」を消して、「な」に置き換えます。
形容詞と形容動詞の使い方に慣れるために、実際に例文を作ってもらいます。
