Climbing the Ladder
For this, and further lessons, you will continue to climb the ladder of English by practicing your speaking and listening. Did I set written homework last time? Perhaps I shared a podcast in English with you, and we can talk about that. Or we both watched a film, a Ted talk, a YouTube video, and we can discuss that. Of course, it's important to practise writing and reading in English, too.
There are so many ways of encouraging conversation, to stimulate the mind, to learn about new topics. Perhaps we can study a philosopher together, or a writer, or a musician. We can talk about why they appeal to us, what we love about them, what new understanding of ourselves and the world around us appears.
English should be fun. Our talks will help you to deepen your understanding and use of English, formal and informal, colloquial, idiomatic, descriptive and emotive, through use and practice.
If you have a specific need, for instance you're planning a trip to England, or you need to improve your communication for work, we can find ways to help you improve.
Whether you have a specific need, or just want to improve your skills, let's carry on climbing the ladder and enjoying the process.
