How do you feel?

I will start the lesson with introducing myself.
I want the student to feel comfortable with asking me questions or slowing down my pace of speech.
The focus sentences are 'what is the matter?' and ' how do you feel?'.
I will ask these questions and focus on context ( for example if you are feeling sick these are the questions an English Doctor will ask.)
I will ask students to repeat after me.
I will give them phrases to use to answer the question.
Example ' How do you feel?'...... I do/ do not feel good. I feel sick
' What is the matter?......... I feel/do not feel well/good.
Depending on the level of my student I will give them more phrases but I will keep it simple to begin with. I will focus on speaking and listening. I want my studnt to ask me the questionand I will answer. I will focis on pronounciation correction as I hear my students speak.
In the next part of my lesson I will ask my students to play the role fo doctor and patient.
Doctor: 'How do you feel?
Patient: 'I feel sick'
I will give phrases for the Doctor to use such as......'you should/ you shouldn't
take medicine
drink water
get some rest
go to bed early
relax
exercise
go to hospital
I will ask students to practice role play. I will focis on correcting prononciation. I will encourage students to ask me quesions.
In my next lessonS I will make this topic more relavent and mention vocab relating to Covid 19 and what is happening.
