An old French classroom ritual, reimagined as one of the most effective ways to build real fluency, one sentence at a time.
Vocabulary lists are easy to forget. The dictée is not. When you hear a word, write it, correct it, and understand why, it lands in your memory differently. You train your ear, your hand, your instincts, and your grammar all at once. Reading and writing in context is how words stop feeling foreign.
How a session flows
0 – 10 min
The dictée
A short passage read aloud at a measured pace. You write what you hear, no pressure, just listening and writing.
10 – 20 min
Correction & grammar
We go through every line together. Spelling, accords, verb forms, each mistake becomes a mini lesson, not a verdict.
20 – 25 min
Vocabulary & usage
We explore the words from the passage, their nuance, register, and how native speakers actually use them in real life.
Each dictée is chosen and adapted to your level. The method is the same, the text grows with you.
