Lesson Breakdown

Welcome and Warm-Up: Let’s Get Started! (5 minutes)

  • Greet the child with enthusiasm and excitement.
  • Begin with a simple question:
    • "Can you show me your fingers? How many do you have?"
    • "What’s your favorite number?"
  • Introduce today’s topic: Fun with Numbers!

Main Activities: Exploring Numbers! (15 minutes)

Counting Game – How Many Can You Find? (5 minutes)

  • Show the child various objects on screen (toys, blocks, or simple household items).
  • Ask them to count how many items they see:
    • "How many cars can you count?"
    • "How many red blocks do you have?"
  • Encourage the child to say the numbers aloud as they count.

Number Fill-In Challenge (5 minutes)

  • Display a number line from 1 to 10 on screen, but leave several numbers missing.
  • Ask the child to identify the missing numbers:
    • "Can you find the number that’s missing between 3 and 5?"
    • "What number is missing after 7?"
  • Let the child fill in the missing numbers by saying them out loud or drawing them on paper.

Number Song and Dance (5 minutes)

  • Teach a number songthat goes up to 10, with simple lyrics and movements.
    • For example: "One, two, buckle my shoe; three, four, knock at the door..."
  • Encourage the child to sing along and act out the song with fun motions.

Wrap-Up: What Did We Learn? (5 minutes)

 

  • Quick review of the lesson:
    • "Can you show me the number 5?"
    • "How many blocks did we count earlier?"
  • Celebrate Learning! Ask the child to share what their favorite part of the lesson was.
