This lesson is for those aiming to enter a graduate school or university in Japan.
It is perfect for those who have ideas they want to convey but struggle to write or speak them effectively in Japanese.
We will prepare for both the "documents" and the "interviews" that determine your results.
・Proofreading of research proposals and statements of purpose (we will correct them together, sentence by sentence)
・Entrance interview practice
※Note: This lesson focuses on correcting your Japanese expressions.
I do not provide advice on the content of your research (themes, methods, results, etc.).

・If this is your first time, please take a counseling session or a trial lesson first.

By understanding your goals and where you are applying, I can thoroughly review your documents in advance.
◆For those who have taken a counseling session or a trial lesson
If you share your document at least 2 days before the lesson, I will proofread up to 1,200 Japanese characters in advance, and we will review them together during the lesson.
If shared less than 2 days before, the advance proofreading may be incomplete. In that case, we will continue the corrections together during the lesson.
◆For those who book without taking either
We will check your situation at the start of the lesson and correct up to 800 Japanese characters together during the lesson (no advance proofreading).
・Please create your documents in Google Docs and paste the URL in the comment section when you send your lesson request (please make sure editing is allowed).
・In your request comment, please also include:
① What you would like to do (document proofreading / interview practice)
② Where you are applying (university, graduate program, etc.) and your application deadline / interview date
③ The type of document to be proofread and the required character count
(If nothing has changed since your counseling session or trial lesson, ① is enough.)
[Trial Lesson (30 minutes)]
You may start here even if you have not taken a counseling session.
In your request comment, please let me know where you are applying and whether you would like to focus on interviews or documents.
・Practice with 1–2 interview questions
・Proofreading of part of a document (up to 400 Japanese characters, corrected together during the lesson; no advance proofreading)
If you would like document proofreading, please paste the Google Docs URL when you send your request (please make sure editing is allowed).
After a trial lesson, you can use advance proofreading (up to 1,200 Japanese characters) in your following lessons.

Correcting Japanese is actually not that difficult.
What matters is whether you can talk about your goals and research in your own words, even under pressure.
So we will build answers using words you can actually use, and practice until they become your own.
The goal is for you to keep speaking confidently, even when the questions change.
Both graduate school and undergraduate applicants (including those using the EJU) are welcome.
A finished draft, rough notes, or just ideas—any of these is fine.
Bring what you have, and we will start from there.
