課程介紹
Do you find yourself stopping in the middle of sentences to look something up in a dictionary or repeatedly pausing videos to search for unfamiliar vocabulary? If so, we need to talk about the power of context-based techniques, such as using context clues, for handling unfamiliar words, deciding which meaning of a word applies in a particular situation, and training onself to depend more on skill than memorization.
In our first session, we will introduce context clues as powerful tools for building vocabulary, improving comprehension, and increasing reading speed and practice with shorter examples. If you join me for future sessions, we will work with longer, more complex texts and practice using context clues to improve listening comprehension.
