In this course, students will learn beginner coding skills through Scratch in a fun, creative, and supportive way. I have significant experience teaching coding to primary students, and I have seen many young learners grow in confidence, problem-solving, and creativity through simple step-by-step lessons. My teaching style is patient, clear, and engaging, with a focus on helping children enjoy coding rather than feel overwhelmed by it.

Lessons can be adapted to the student’s age, level, and interests. I can also create multiple lesson packs and longer learning pathways depending on what the student wants to make and learn. For example, I can design lessons around games, animation, storytelling, quizzes, characters, or other themes that interest the child. This helps keep students motivated while still building real coding skills.

In Scratch lessons, students can learn how to:

  • use coding blocks and understand sequencing
  • make characters move and interact
  • use events, loops, and conditionals
  • add sounds, animations, and simple game features
  • create their own small projects with guidance

This course is ideal for primary students who are beginners or who want to continue building their confidence in coding through fun, personalised projects.
