In this class. I will give the students an interesting passage to read. I will provide a list of vocabulary words they have not seen before.
I will allow a reasonable time to read the passage. I will then test the students for comprehension.

In this lesson I give my students an interesting passage to read.
From the title of the passage, I ask my students to tell me what they think the subject matter is about.
I then ask them to skim through the text and in a in few words to tell me the main idea.
Then I give them comprehension questions. I test them, they give me the answers in English.
I correct them if I must in a positive way.
I encourage my students and always give them positive support.
I also encourage my students to read whatever is of interest to them. In this way they will be able to master the English language.
