The focus is on common and native daily interactions through short and easy dialogues.  The exchanges will be conducted in a way that is fun, comfortable, and easy to understand for the student.  

The following is a fundamental class template, but is most certainly flexible and can be easily modified to meet the student’s preference:
   

First, there is usually a warm-up discussion of the story’s illustration, followed by the initial read-through, followed by a switch of roles for a second reading, and finally there will be a check of content comprehension through a question format.  Unfamiliar vocabulary and grammar will then be assessed and addressed.
    

There are four books in the series; Intro, Book 1, 2, and 3.  In the first class, the student can either make their own selection for the book to start from, or request that the instructor make an assessment based on their current English level.  This course is for the student who wants to develop a deeper and more natural ability in English conversation while uncovering new grammar and vocabulary along the way.  This is more structured and consistent than the free conversation classes.  
   

Each individual student will have their course progress accurately recorded and tracked through a spreadsheet in order to ensure each lesson is started at precisely where they finished in the previous lesson.  This guarantees efficiency and prevents wasting time while searching for their previous stop point or worse, repeating previous material.
   

This course has a structured track but please be assured that there is abundant opportunity for free and open discussion, as well as opportunity for real world application of the grammar from the conversations.  I am confident in this course because I have personally seen students advance toward a deeper level of confidence in their speaking and listening abilities with this Cambridge series.
