Can you read Hangul but feel unsure about your pronunciation?
Have you ever spoken Korean but found that the other person could not understand you?
In this lesson, you will practice natural standard Seoul pronunciation and intonation with a native Korean teacher who was born and raised in Seoul.
We will identify the sounds you find difficult and slowly learn the correct mouth positions and pronunciation techniques. In addition to pronouncing individual words accurately, you will practice connecting words and sentences naturally and using the intonation heard in everyday Korean conversation.

- Accurate pronunciation of basic vowels and consonants
- Differences between plain, tense, and aspirated consonants
- Difficult final consonant sounds
- Sound linking and pronunciation changes
- Natural stress in Korean words and sentences
- Natural standard Seoul intonation
- Differences between textbook pronunciation and real spoken Korean
You will listen to the teacher’s pronunciation and repeat it. We will practice difficult areas as many times as necessary. We can use short sentences, dialogues, news articles, lines from Korean dramas, or a text of your choice.
