Speak Better English: Presentation & Public Speaking

This class helps you become a stronger speaker in English—whether you need presentations for work, school, or you simply want to enjoy public speaking as a hobby. We focus on how you deliver your message: clarity, confidence, and impact.

Trial lesson: I’ll check your level, listen to your presentation goals (topic, length, deadline, audience), and then create a clear practice plan for improving your delivery and confidence.
Important: this is not a conversation class
 
In this lesson, you will speak for longer periods, and I will spend more time listening and taking notes. We do not do constant back-and-forth conversation. The goal is to improve your presentation performance.
What we improve
 
  • Structure: clear opening, strong points, smooth transitions, memorable closing
  • Intonation & pronunciation: stress, rhythm, clarity, natural pacing
  • Audience engagement: eye contact, emphasis, rhetorical questions, signposting
  • Body language: posture, gestures, energy, confidence
  • Handling pressure: staying calm, recovering from mistakes, continuing smoothly
We also practice natural presenter phrases (signposting, summarising, transitioning, giving examples) so you can speak confidently without memorising a script.
Lesson Breakdown (50 minutes)
 
A typical presentation lesson looks like this:

Warm-up + focus setting
Quick warm-up (voice + confidence) and choose today’s focus (intonation, pacing, clarity, engagement).
12 min
Skill input (technique + phrases)
Learn a specific speaking technique + useful presenter expressions (signposting, transitions, emphasis).
15 min
Presentation practice (Round 1)
You present a short section (or the full presentation). I listen and take notes on delivery, intonation, body language, and clarity.
10 min
Upgrade & repeat (Round 2)
We improve the same section using stronger delivery, clearer pacing, and more engaging presence—then you present again to build confidence.
3 min
Q&A / recovery practice
Short Q&A or “recover from mistakes” practice (how to stay calm and continue smoothly).
2 min
Wrap-up + homework
Small homework: a short rehearsal task, recording practice, or script-to-natural conversion (no memorising).
Feedback: I take notes during the lesson. Some points are corrected immediately, and you receive a clear feedback summary after the lesson (pronunciation + delivery upgrades + next steps).
