What are Idioms? Idioms and meaning

At the beggining of the lesson I will introduce you to the material that we are about to learn and why this is important. First, we will go through the section called "Idioms and meaning." Over here we will familiarize ourselves with what are idioms. Secondly, we will see and learn about the "types of Idioms" together with the "fixed aspects of Idioms," and explain that most idioms cannot be changed or varied.
Following this leaning we will check your understanding and go to the fun part - the exercise which will consist of 3 different types:
1. Guess the meaning of the idiom based on the context;
2. Classify the idioms in the sentences based on their grammatical type; and
3. Correct the mistakes in the idioms in the sentences.
Here we will take a short break, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Next we will turn our focus to another very important aspect of idioms and that is "Using the dictionary." Here we will see and learn various strategies and see "What do you look up," and "What does the dictionary tell you."
Finally, we will go to another set of excercises to confirm your knowledge.
